What to Store

  • Buy bulk of produce and store in fridge or freezer for keeping fresh and longer
  • Store leftover foods, or scraps of vegetables such as lettuce, carrots spinach, and herbs to reduce food waste.
  • Keep noodles, flour, and dry ingredients fresh longer in the pantry
  • Keep breads, bagels, meats, cooked foods, fruits in freezer
  • Use for marinating meats and keep in fridge or freeze

How to Use

  1. Remove all packaging before use. To use, open gently and store food by filling 80%
  2. Remove the excess air out before closing the zipper band on top
  3. Close the zipper band tightly and make sure it is completely sealed before storing it in the pantry, refrigerator, or freezer
  4. It is recommended to store the same type of food in the same bag to avoid cross-contamination (for example, vegetables with vegetables, dairy with dairy products, etc )

Cautions

  1. Take extra caution handling when they are used in the microwave for heating foods
  2. When using a Sous vide bag for reheating foods on the stove, do not exceed medium boil or over temperature 212F
  3. When using a microwave, the bags should be left slightly open
  4. Do not let bags be close to direct heat or open flames
  5. Do not force the bags to open and store sharp items. Bags may get damaged

Helpful Tips

  1. It is NOT recommended to wash produce before storing inside of bags. Washing your produce right before cooking or eating will help to preserve its freshness.
  2. If you find moisture builds inside the bags when storing food, you may periodically dry the bags or place a paper towel inside the bag for best results.
  3. Food Saving reusable bags are top-rack dishwasher safe. However, it is recommended to hand wash in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly to prolong the life and beauty of the bags.
  4. Always dry the bags completely with a soft towel, or set them aside upside down first and then stand upright to air dry before storing food.
  5. Your bags should be stored in cool, dry, and sanitary places at all times.
  6. Do not reuse bags that have been used to store any raw meats or dairy products. You should always follow standard food safety requirements when storing food.
  7. Possible staining may occur with highly acidic or color-rich food such as tomato sauce, Kimchi, etc.
  8. You should not use the bags in the microwave if they contain food with high oil content.

Practical Items to Keep Food Fresh

I find that the Food Saving Reusable Bags are a practical way to keep food fresher longer especially iwith the summer heat that the northeast is experiencing now.

I bought them I use them for everything. I use them for my frozen vegetables in my freezer my fresh vegetables in the fridge crackers chips for my cabinet cereal you name of these bags are astounding NES had to buy two.

I have bought all kinds of reusable bags from QVC. These are the BEST and you can write on them so everyone knows what is in them. I can't say enough about these bags. Please bring them back....I need more. Most of the other brands do not seal and end up going in the trash. Ziploc does not keep food fresh. PrepSeal really works.

I wish I ordered a second set.

This is a complete set of food saver bags. I used them on my trip to the cabin and my strawberries and blueberries were just as I bought them a week later. My romaine lettuce was crisp and fresh throughout the week long trip. They have already paid for themselves. I wish I would have bought two sets. I hope they come back into stock.
