Electric Grinder Set (Color: Black, White, Base, Brush, Battery is not included)

I was never amused by the new electric shaker wave, BUT as soon as I saw these I immediately had to order them. They are very lightweight but sturdy and firm. They are made of glass which gives them more balance. It even comes with a tray to put them on. Very good addition to the kitchen

Who knew something like this could make my life that much better?

Up until now, I've been using the salt and pepper grinding units from Aldi. Well, the pepper grinder had been broken for ages; I just made do every morning, even though each time I'd grumble under my breath.

Finally ordered this set to try.

The set came in such an elegant box. Inside the box, the grinders were protected by foam and plastic bags. The whole packaging was lovely, rendering it a totally giftable item, assuming the grinders actually worked.

Each grinder took 4 batteries, per instruction. Setting up was easy and intuitive, really.

Each unit was turned on with the push of the button on top. A light went on when the button was pushed.

The grinder ground effortlessly. See attached video.

And, just like that, my morning routine of grinding salt and pepper became something I looked forward to doing.

The grinders came with a tray on which they rest, along with a little brush in case the units need a bit of unclogging?

The grinders ground speedily, so a little bit of grinding rendered quite a bit of salt/pepper; just be careful.

I like using grinders for the table, and I’ve tried a few different electric ones in the past but they’ve always been sub-par.

This set seems to be a lot nicer. For one, they’re a lot smaller than other electric grinders that I’ve tried. This means that they’ll need to be filled more frequently, but they’re not obnoxiously huge.

It’s also nice that they come with a LED light. Maybe not necessary, but still kind of neat.

I also like the large power button on the tops. I’ve had some with tiny buttons on the side, and another set that activated when they were turned upside down. I prefer the large top button.

The caps are nice, too. I like that you can cover the opening and not have salt or pepper leaking out onto the table.

Finally, these have a transparent storage base to keep them together.

The grinders take AAA batteries, which are not included.

The grinders have no trouble at all with peppercorns or salt. The operation is smooth and steady. You can also easily adjust the grinding size.

I really like these, and if I run into any problems, I’ll make sure to update my review.

Nice little set. The grinders seem powerful, but they don’t grind as fine as I would like. It does have a dial on the bottom to adjust the coarseness, but the finest setting is not truly “fine” as there are still some larger pieces of salt or pepper. The compartments are on the smaller side so will need refilled often in our house, but if you don’t cook a lot or for a larger family, they should be perfect. They are weighted nicely and the button on top is easy to press. The light is a nice touch. The stand they come in keeps them neat and tidy with no salt or pepper getting on the counter or wherever you store them.

I love the fact that I do not have to twist to grind any more, one hand operation is very convenient. The end caps on the grinder(s) plus the well thought out storage tray keep the mess to a minimum; they are easy to fill/refill and a tiny brush to clean between fills is also a bonus.
